Discussing The Kinds Of Writing
Writing can either be a form of hobby or can be a form of occupation. People write to explore their feelings while others write for a living. This makes writing a rich art where there are several classifications involved. While some of them are classified primarily with what is being written, there are other forms of writing that remain unclassified.
Creative writing is used nowadays as writers who – creatively – write about things whereas years ago, it was used as a term pertaining to writers who primarily write about fiction and other forms of niche novels and articles. They also write poetry. But today, creative writers now pertain to those who write about anything creatively.
Anything that promotes a product or service is called copywriting. This is part of a marketing strategy that is being used by a lot of online businessmen today. They hire copywriters to promote their products through articles and reviews.
Although the word copy is used in the term copy writing, the definition itself is not the same. Copywriting involves the promotion of a product through writing and not about copying the materials from other write ups. A copywriter is the person who writes the material.
Technical writing on the other hand is used to describe the product being promoted. Technical writing and copywriting should go hand in hand for customers to better understand the details of the product. Technical writing elaborates what kind of product is being promoted while copywriting promotes the product itself.
Factual writing is all about writing what has happened and is based purely on facts and nothing else. Without facts, it can be called as creative writing or it falls on other categories of writing.
These categories usually differentiate each and every type of writer out there but there are also other writers that are left uncategorized such as those who write letters and statements. Still, they are considered writers especially those who write card greetings and such.
There should be an appropriate category for such writing. It should be called personal writing as it does not involve selling a product or describing it. It still entails facts but on a personal basis such as writing letters or even bios and personal statements.
In addition to types of writing, this author also regularly pens articles about online writing jobs and WeddingSpeech4u review.
