A very important decision you have to make if you decide to have a sophisticated website is what type of server will be best to use for hosting your business. A site available on the web is hosted on a server. It gives you space online and brings traffic to your site.

Flash-based sites have been a craze since the past few years, and as Macromedia compiles more and more great features into Flash, we can only predict there will be more and more flash sites around the Internet. However, Flash based sites have been disputed to be bloated and unnecessary. Where exactly do we draw the line? Here’s a simple breakdown.

Search engine optimisation is the business of “optimising” a websites web page to be at the top of the search engines for a given keywords. For example a keyword maybe “cheapest dog collars” so when a person types in “cheapest dog collars” in a search engine such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, Lycos, etc, the web page is at the top of the results.

In this ever changing world where products of high technology are huge and prevalent, one would strive to make one’s life more convenient. In this era of computers and the internet, one way of making the consumers’ lives and at the same time, the computer programmers’ lives expedient, is through the use of a method in managing the interchange and transfer of data from a source towards the search engine by refining the intrinsic and extrinsic aspects which might affect the rankings of the search outcomes. This process is then called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Questions are going on my mind. Being the person in charge of monitoring the organic rankings of my company’s websites (search engine optimization), Google has been in front my face every day since the day I joined my company.

Online marketing actually makes more impact and greater returns for your money as compared to the more traditional marketing. Online marketing, especially if you do it effectively, is viral. To make it viral, you should utilize resourceful and creative means to promote your products and services. Promote something that will create a buzz so as to create enough word of mouth momentum to get your products and services to spread quickly. The medium for the momentum are people. With viral online marketing, an entire product can become an established success with little or no paid marketing.

Slicing is the process of splitting a whole image into smaller images and saving them as individual entities with separate filenames each. These images are placed back together very much the same like putting puzzles together. They are usually placed in HTML tables or divs, making it possible to join them and form the original image.

The first thing you see on a web site as it is loading and as it has loaded is color. Many web designers overlook this minor detail when designing a website. In fact, color should be the initial thing considered for a website design. It creates an overall appearance of your website design’s entirety. It could either make or break you as it is first impression. One should pay close attention to the site’s color scheme as it can direct to a plain and boring fade or an intricate chaotic design. Careful selection is essential.
