There are many ways to market online. I have spent months upon months learning about twitter and how to use it to my marketing and networking advantage. Twitter is one of the newest and hottest social networking sites on the web. It is growing consistently and many big corporations are jumping on board to have a social image and brand to uphold. The problem though is that many big companies aren’t using social media and twitter to market properly. They are using it as a mass broadcasting medium that is mean’t to be a communication medium. If you are using twitter as a marketing and broadcasting medium then it may be time to rethink what you are doing and how you are doing it.
Twitter wasn’t created or made to be a marketing medium for companies when it was initially created. It actually started out as a communication tool within a small tech company to make the communication within the company more efficient so they can communicate and work better together. The company and website have definitely evolved into a much larger and much more powerful communication tool. It is a communication, networking and marketing tool all in one. This is something to be aware of when interacting and sharing content on twitter. One thing you need to understand and be aware of is that everything you do on twitter is public and you have to represent your company and brand.
One of the big arguments that twitter marketers and twitter networkers is which matters more when it comes to quality or quantity. I have been networking and marketing on twitter for quite a while now and in my opinion the quality of your followers and network on twitter is much more valuable than a high quantity following. If you have a high quantity following but they don’t listen to what you are saying then it really doesn’t matter right? It’s all about the quality, then building a high quality network with a high quantity of people. There are many methods to market and network on twitter and there is so much to learn and I have a lot to share with you but I cannot do it all here.
